I don't believe in Atheist; therefore, they don't exist. That is atheist attitude towards God, but does that mean God does not exist? Of course not! Your belief or disbelief will no more change reality; than a drug crazed person's belief they can fly changes reality as they jumps off a building and fly smack into the ground below.
Your belief is only as good as what you put your belief in.
What is an Atheist? An Atheist is the belief in no God. Atheist is someone who believes nothing made everything, which is a scientific impossibility.
No wonder the bible says nothing about Atheist, it just calls them fools...A fool says in their heart there is no God Psalms 14:1.

Wow, that was stupid. Atheists don't believe in no God, we lack a belief in any of the Gods. There is a big difference there.
ReplyDeleteAnd something comes from nothing all the time. It is simple quantum mechanics. Gooble virtual particles. In fact quantum mechanics says that something MUST come from nothing. There is no scientific reason that the universe could not have spontaneously come from nothing.
Where did your God come from?
Atheism comes from the greek combination of 'a' meaning without and theism meaning belief in god or theos. So atheism is to be without belief in god. Now take note this does not entail the belief in the non-existence of god. It is rather the absence of belief. Or as the ancient greek skeptics would put it, atheists refuse to give assent to the assertion that god exists.
ReplyDeleteThis means you starting point is flawed which brings into question everything derived from that flawed premises. Formal logic will teach you that following the rules of logic guarantees the preservation of truth, that is the truth of the premises is guaranteed to be preserved at each step if it follows the rules of logic. But your conclusion can only be as true as the premises in the argument. So if a premise is not true then the conclusion is not true also since the logic form perserves untruth just as well as truth.
Next you say "Atheist is someone who believes nothing made everything, which is a scientific impossibility". Well you believe god made everything but what made god? If nothing made god then you fall into the same problem that you attribute to atheism. If something made god then what made that? Taking that route will only lead to an infinite regress.
Furthermore you ASSUME that atheists believe that. If you look at the definition of atheism it only pretains to the absence of a single belief. It does not specify ANY other aspects of the individual including views on creation. It is possible that existence is eternal. This is supported by the evidence which shows energy and matter can't be created or destroy, only converted from one to another. Now you can postulate that god is eternal but that is not on as solid ground as matter being eternal. The reason is that you have no evidence of god's existence let alone evidence of the properties of god, so you would only be capable of asserting god is eternal which is a bare assertion fallacy. Whereas with matter there is evidence to support the idea that it is eternal so it is in a much stronger position.
John,
ReplyDeleteThe view "the universe created itself" is flawed and here is why. It goes against the science of cause of effect where the effect is never greater than the cause. Therefore, nothing creating something is scientifically impossible.
Stink Palm,
ReplyDeleteBasically your premise came down to
"The universe has always existed"
This goes against the second law of thermodynamics that shows evidence of molecules and energy is slowing down. Therefore, if this universe was eternal we would be in a virtual heat death: Meaning there would be virtually no molecular movement, everything would of lost its available heat energy doing work. Therefore the universe must have had an beginning.
Nothing creating something isn't scientifically impossible. Go learn some fucking science, dumbass.
